Two “Self Pick-up Stations” have been installed on G/F of Mong Man Wai Library and Tseung Kwan O Study Centre Library respectively. Library users can collect their requested items by themselves at the Self Pick-up Station mentioned in the notice within the specified period.
RFID Self-service Stations are installed on G/F of Mong Man Wai Library and Tseung Kwan O Study Centre Library. EdUHK Students, Staff and other users holding EdU Cards or EdUHK Library Borrower Cards can borrow and return EdUHK Library books quickly and easily by themselves.
Library users who need to leave the library building for a short period of time may deposit their belongings in the Octopus-operated self-service locker system installed inside the Quiet Zone (G/F). This service is free-of-charge for the first three hours.
Smart Book Returns are set up at at MMW Library foyer on Tai Po Campus and outside Tseung Kwan O Study Centre Library. Library users may deposit EdUHK Library books on loan to them into the Smart Book Returns and the books will be scanned automatically and returned instantly.
Library have installed six UV book sterilizers at Mong Man Wai Library and one at Tseung Kwan O Study Centre Library. These sterilizers are specially designed for killing germs with UV. Up to 6 regular-sized books can be sterilized at one time in each machine.
The Library has set up a virtual VR-AR-Media Production Centre which spreads across different locations in EdUHK Library, and all notebooks and PCs are installed with VAM production tools.

The Makerspace in STEM Room is situated on the 2/F of the Library and serves as an extension of the Library's functions, providing users with access to technology-rich amenities and collaborative workspaces. It provides 3D, large format printing and laser cutting/engraving service for EdUHK students and staff to utilize for prototyping and ideation.
