Remember to bring your own EdU Card with you when you come to the Library. You'll need it to...

  • borrow books

No borrowing or lending of Library Cards, otherwise heavy penalty will be imposed

Using Our Spaces

The Library provides a range of different study spaces for both quiet study and group discussion. ​You can choose the study space that suits your needs:

Eight Future Classrooms have been constructed inside EdUHK’s Mong Man Wai Library between 2018 and 2021, all of which are tailored for future pedagogical models and needs as well as developments in the IT industry.

* Only academic and teaching staff can reserve this room for classes via iBooking in advance.  If there is no classes, it will be opened to all users.

Computing Facilities in the Library

Both B&W, colour photocopiers and network printing facilities operated by Octopus cards are provided on MMW Library and TKOSC Library. Free of charge network scanning to PC or USB is available, insert Octopus card to activate black & white or colour scanning.

 

  • Print-N-Go allows EdUHK students to use their OCIO Print Quota to print documents in B&W or colour at G/F.    

    

  • Users may make use of Octopus printing and photocopying facilities.  

 

  • Multi-function printers provide scanning capabilities, including B&W and colour documents.  

   

Computers

The EdUHK Library provides approximately 400 networked computers, each equipped with the necessary software, to enable users to access electronic resources and navigate the internet. 

Borrow Notebooks & e-Book Readers

Notebook computers with wireless network cards are available for 3 hours loan at the Circulation Counter on the ground floor of the Mong Man Wai Library, and at the Tseung Kwan O Study Centre Library. Scribd E-Reader are also provided for loan at the Mong Man Wai Library.

Mobile device charging stations are available on every floor of Mong Man Wai Library. Each station is equipped with the following accessories:

  • 1 Qi compatible wireless charging pad
  • 2 Apple MFi Lightning cables
  • 2 Micro USB cables
  • 2 USB Type C cables

The following accessories are also available for loan at

the Circulation Counter of Mong Man Wai Library. 

  • Laptop Stands
  • USB charging cables

The Library has wifi so you can access the University network on your own laptop and other devices. The Student Wi-Fi Printing service is also available for Print-N-Go. Details may refer to OCIO’s user guide.

Need Refreshment?

Located on G/F of the Library, The Lounge provides a lively and stimulating atmosphere for social interaction and idea exchange with a coffee machine and vending machine for beverages & snacks.
