EdUHK students and staff can remotely access library electronic resources via Library Website (https://www.lib.eduhk.hk) by using their EdUHK Network usernames and passwords for authentication. The guide provides you with different options to retrieve Library subscribed resources.
With effect from Wednesday, 1 February 2023, staff and students will be required to login with their EdUHK account for both on-campus and remote access of online resources provided by the Library.
This new arrangement supported by the Library Management Committee will enable the Library to assess cost-effectiveness of our online resources by better understanding usage patterns of different user categories. It is also a security enhancement to prevent excessive downloading and other abuses of online resources by individual users, which may result in service suspension by copyright owners.
Staff and students will be asked to login when they first access an online resource for each web session. As long as the web browser is not closed, users will not be asked to login again when they search a different database or access another e-book/e-journal subscribed by the Library.
