The EdUHK Library in-door positioning app
It facilitates quicker book searches in the Mong Man Wai Library. The app uses Beacon technology, which is a Proximity System, based on Bluetooth Low Energy. Over 200 beacons have been installed on all floors of the Library to transmit positioning signals and to detect the locations of individual users with Bluetooth enabled mobile devices. Users can locate an item using the browser of their mobile devices.

Note:

Requires Android 4.4 or above and iOS 9.0 or later. Compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
Turn on bluetooth signal and GPS connection on the mobile device.
The map does not indicate the exact location of the required item. It shows the approximate bookshelf location.
There may be a few seconds delay in displaying your current position.
